Joocy vs Slido
Slido and Joocy both let an audience answer live on their phones, through a web address and a code. Slido suits large meetings and events run inside PowerPoint, Google Slides, Webex, Teams or Zoom, with plans for up to 20,000 people; Joocy, in invite-only early access, holds the whole deck and suits presenters whose own AI makes and runs it, whose slides can be code or 3D worlds, and who want each person addressed by name.

Joocy and Slido, fact by fact
The two differ most in where your slides live, how big a room they hold, and whether your own AI can work in them. Every Slido fact below links to Slido's own pages, read on 18 October 2026. Joocy facts come from Joocy's own guides.
| On 18 October 2026 | Joocy | Slido |
|---|---|---|
| How people join | JoocyOpen joo.cy on any phone and type the five character code from the screen, or scan it from the corner of the slide. | SlidoGo to slido.com and type the event code, open a joining link, or scan a QR code. |
| App or account | JoocyNo app and no account. People give a name only when the deck asks for one. | Slido"The attendees can join without any logins or downloads," says Slido's home page. Enterprise and Premium plans can add single sign on for participants. |
| Free plan | JoocyNo public plans yet. Joocy is in early access, and new presenters join by invite. | SlidoBasic: up to 100 participants, basic audience Q&A and 3 polls per slido. |
| Your slides | JoocySave from PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides as a PDF: every page becomes a slide that looks exactly like the file, with PowerPoint's speaker notes. Keynote's HTML export keeps every build and transition. Pictures, videos and HTML decks work too. | SlidoWorks inside PowerPoint and Google Slides through its own integrations. With any other software, its help says to switch windows between your slides and Slido. We found no way to upload a deck. |
| Kinds of question | JoocyTwelve: polls, quizzes with a leaderboard, stickers, ratings, word clouds, open questions, their name, numbers, Q&A with voting, photos, voice notes and sign ups. Plus phone screens in your own HTML. | SlidoMultiple choice, word cloud, open text, ideas, quiz, rating, ranking and surveys, plus Q&A where people vote questions up. |
| Moderation | JoocyFilter bad words is on from the start: anything with a swear word waits for your OK. Photos and voice notes wait for approval. You can pause answers or remove a person at any time. | SlidoA profanity filter, on for every slido, for word clouds and Q&A, in English. Approving questions before they show is on Professional and up. |
| Weak venue wifi | JoocyPhones reconnect on their own and switch to plain HTTP when the wifi blocks live connections. The big screen keeps going if the internet drops. An offline mode is coming soon. | SlidoUses WebSockets. When they are blocked, Slido "will appear to be working, but the performance might be decreased", and its advice is another wifi or mobile network. We found no offline mode. |
| Your own AI | JoocyAn MCP server, an API and a skill file. Claude, ChatGPT through Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor or any MCP agent can make decks, add a quiz after any slide, restyle, run the live session and read results. Every change is a version you can undo. | SlidoSlido AI suggests polls and refines their wording. We found no MCP server and no connector for AI assistants, and Slido says it "does not offer its API for open integration". |
| Slides in code | JoocyAny slide or phone screen can be HTML with three.js, WebGL, GSAP or React from a built in kit. A deck can be one 3D world the camera flies through. | SlidoWe found no way to show a slide or a phone screen of your own HTML, and no 3D. |
| Per person | JoocyNames and earlier answers in the words of later slides. Results split by an earlier answer. Different questions for different people. | SlidoSlido can ask for names. In February 2026 its support team wrote that Slido "doesn't currently allow you to break down or filter poll results by responses to previous polls". We found no way to ask different people different questions. |
| Room size | JoocyFrom 2 to 2,000 people in one session. | SlidoFree: 100. Paid: 200, 1,000 or 5,000, and up to 20,000 per slido for large organisations. |
| Price | JoocyNot public. Early access by invite. | SlidoBasic is free. A year: Engage $150 for 1 user, Professional $600 for 2, Enterprise $1,800 for 3. One event of up to 7 days: Engage $80, Professional $250, Premium $700. Before VAT. |
Prices are the US dollar prices Slido showed on 18 October 2026, before VAT. Slido takes no monthly payments: a plan is yearly or for one event. Where we write "we found no", we searched Slido's own site and help center and found nothing.
What only Joocy does
Of the two, only Joocy holds the deck itself, lets your own AI make and run it, lets any slide be your own code, and changes the words for each person in the room.
Your AI runs itWe found no way for an AI agent to work in Slido. In Joocy, Claude, ChatGPT through Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor or any MCP agent can make the whole deck, add a quiz after any slide, restyle it, run the live session and read the results, through an MCP server, an API and a skill file. Every change is a version you can undo.
Code and 3DJoocy holds the deck: a PDF from any app, or a Keynote export with every build. Any slide or phone screen can also be HTML with three.js, WebGL or GSAP. A deck can be one 3D world, and a tap on a phone can light up the scene on the wall. Picture a night sky where every person who joins becomes a glowing star with their name on it.
Every personA phone can read "Photographer, how was your year?" because that person said photographer earlier. Results split by an earlier answer, live on the big screen, and only the photographers get the follow up while everyone else answers something of their own.
Where Slido is the better choice
Choose Slido for big events, for Q&A inside the tools your meeting already runs on, or when you need it for one event today. Those are real strengths, and they are the reasons to pick it.
- Big rooms. Slido plans go up to 5,000 participants, and to 20,000 per slido for large organisations. A Joocy session holds up to 2,000 people.
- You stay inside PowerPoint, Google Slides, Webex, Teams or Zoom. Slido works inside them, so you present from the tool you already use. Joocy plays your deck on its own stage.
- Q&A is the main event. Approving questions before they show, co-hosts who help run the Q&A, and several rooms on the one-time Professional plan.
- One event, one price. One-time plans cover a single event of up to 7 days, from $80.
- Free today, for up to 100 people. Anyone can start on Basic. Joocy takes new presenters by invite for now.
- Every participant signs in. Enterprise and Premium add single sign on for participants, for meetings that must know who is in the room.
Fair questions
Is Joocy a good alternative to Slido?
Yes, if you want the slides and the questions in one place, your own AI to build and run the deck, or slides in code and 3D. Slido fits better for events above 2,000 people, for Q&A inside PowerPoint, Teams or Zoom, and when you need to start free today.
Does Joocy work inside PowerPoint like Slido?
It works the other way round. Slido runs inside PowerPoint and Google Slides. In Joocy you save the deck as a PDF and bring it in: every page becomes a slide that looks exactly like the file, and PowerPoint's speaker notes come along.
Which one handles bigger events?
Slido. Its plans hold up to 5,000 participants, and up to 20,000 per slido for large organisations. Joocy holds from 2 to 2,000 people in one session.
Can an AI agent build a Slido or a Joocy presentation?
As of October 2026 we found no MCP server, connector or open API for Slido. Joocy has an MCP server, an API and a skill file, so Claude, ChatGPT through Codex, Gemini CLI, Cursor or any MCP agent can make a deck, run the live session and read the results.
